Country musician John Rich has indicated his willingness to perform at the upcoming Freedom 250 celebration. This comes after several artists withdrew from the event, prompting interest from Representative Tim Burchett in having Rich lead the musical program.

Burchett’s Call for Patriotic Performers

In a video message directed at President Donald Trump, Burchett recommended bringing Rich on board to open the event. He praised Rich’s patriotic music and suggested other artists like Kid Rock and Lee Greenwood should also perform. Burchett stated, “What we ought to do is get your friend and my friend John Rich, a great musician, to lead it off. He’s got some great patriotic tunes he’s written and he sings.”

Rich responded enthusiastically on social media, humorously stating, “Hey@timburchett don’t threaten ME with a good time! (Have guitar, will travel:).”

Amid uncertainty over the lineup, Trump hinted he might headline a rally in Washington, DC. He acknowledged performer hesitations and criticized certain artists, referring to them as “highly paid, Third Rate ‘Artists’.” Trump also suggested that as “the Number One Attraction anywhere in the World,” he could substitute musical acts.
