Joe Burrow recently participated in a word association game led by Julian Edelman. The game involved names from the Bengals roster like Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Dexter Lawrence. More significant, however, was Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, where the Bengals’ offense suffered a blow.
Joe Burrow’s interception in the first half was not the team’s only challenge. The loss of key offensive players like Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Mike Gesicki hurt the team’s performance. Chase, in particular, underwent a tough situation during the game. Jarrian Jones, a cornerback for the Jaguars, received a facemask penalty when he grabbed Chase’s facemask while trying to tackle him.
Chase managed to shake off Jones but was hit hard by linebacker Ventrell Miller. The incident left Cincinnati fans concerned as Chase was taken out to be evaluated for a concussion. He didn’t return to the game, leaving the Bengals’ offense weakened.

Chase had contributed three catches for 37 yards before his exit. The Bengals struggled in the first half, generating just three points, highlighting Jacksonville’s strong defense. Despite these challenges, Burrow connected with Gesicki for a touchdown in the second half, trying to regain momentum.
Chase, a five-time Pro Bowler, had been in excellent form over the previous two weeks, delivering 16 catches for 173 yards and three touchdowns. His injury, however, created a significant gap in the offensive lineup.
Before the encounter with Jacksonville, Cincinnati held a 2-1 record. For more updates on OutKick Sports, visit Fox News Digital.
