The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announced an investigation into airport safety systems after a tragic incident at Miami International Airport. The crash involved an aircraft that overran a runway, impacting two vehicles and resulting in five fatalities.

On Sunday, an Amazon-branded cargo plane experienced a runway overrun and caught fire. Among the vehicles involved was a van belonging to a local Miami cleaning services company. This van was transporting seven individuals at the time of the crash.
NTSB Investigator Chihoon Shin, who joined Homendy at the media briefing in Miami, stated that the examination would be thorough and aimed at uncovering the factors leading to the accident.
