Meanwhile, actress Linda Blair addressed recent events after authorities searched her Southern California property. The search was part of an active investigation into a reported kennel operation allegedly housing over 100 dogs. Blair assured everyone that both she and the animals in her care are doing well following the surprise inspection.

The operation was authorized by an inspection warrant, executed by Los Angeles County officials. It involved the Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) and the Department of Regional Planning. This initiative aimed to evaluate animal welfare and ensure compliance with county regulations.

“Checking in, I’m good. The animals are good… everyone’s emails and social media are overloaded,”

Blair wrote in an Instagram video post. She explained that the visit was primarily about administrative issues such as paperwork and diagrams, rather than any problems with the animals themselves.

Officials noted that the inspection intended to observe animal care and safety conditions. The investigation followed reports of expired kennel permits and unreturned communications. Officials used the warrant to verify compliance with county codes.

The DACC emphasized the priority is the safety and well-being of the animals and any residents or workers on site. This inspection would confirm if standards were met.

“As this is an active and ongoing investigation, DACC is not able to answer specific questions about this case,”

a statement to People magazine revealed. Authorities did not remove any animals, and Blair was present and cooperative during the inspection.

Blair, famous for her role in The Exorcist, founded the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation in 2003 to help abused and neglected animals. Following the inspection, Blair reiterated the focus was on necessary paperwork rather than issues with animal conditions.
