36 minutes ago 0

House Republicans have issued a criminal referral to the Department of Justice against former Special Counsel Jack Smith. This action stemmed from Smith’s investigation into former President Donald Trump and certain Republican lawmakers. Rep. Jim Jordan, the House Judiciary Chairman from Ohio, led this initiative, which was reported on by Fox News correspondent David Spunt on ‘Special Report.’

On Tuesday, Republicans in the House released six key transcripts that shed light on the contentious investigation led by Jack Smith. These documents provided insights into the methods and focus of Smith’s probe concerning Trump and GOP legislators.

The newly published testimony includes statements from five prosecutors working under Smith and a former agent from the Department of Justice’s watchdog office. These documents were made public by the House Judiciary Committee.

The committee Republicans have raised concerns regarding the investigation’s tactics. They claim that subpoenas were improperly issued for phone records of more than twelve GOP lawmakers during the Arctic Frost investigation. Furthermore, they allege that gag orders were used to prevent the lawmakers from being informed about the Biden-Harris Justice Department’s acquisition of their records.

This story is still unfolding, with further updates expected as more details emerge.
