High-Speed Chase in Wisconsin Ends with Airborne Stunt

A dramatic high-speed chase in Wisconsin resulted in a breathtaking scene of a car flying over another vehicle. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office released the astonishing dashcam footage, which quickly gained viral attention. The incident occurred on the morning of May 9.

According to FOX 6, the Wisconsin State Patrol initially stopped a vehicle and requested support due to an active felony warrant. As backup arrived, the driver, identified as Dewayne Stokes, 44, attempted to flee the scene. A deputy from the Fond du Lac County and another trooper joined the pursuit.

The chase, spanning four and a half miles, took a spectacular turn when Stokes lost control. His vehicle hit a ditch, went up an embankment, and, in a remarkable moment, soared over another car, eventually landing in a field across the road.

Despite the dramatic conclusion, Stokes was not ready to surrender. After exiting the car, authorities had to subdue and arrest him using a Taser. He sustained minor injuries and was sent to the hospital.

Stokes now faces several charges, including first-degree reckless endangering safety and two counts of eluding an officer. His bail is set at $25,000, and he is expected to return to court on June 24. At the time of the incident, Stokes was already out on bond for operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent. He had a warrant issued for failing to appear in court, which set off this chain of events.
