1 hour ago 0

On August 18, 2026, the family of actress Hayden Panettiere expressed their profound grief following her untimely death. Wladimir Klitschko, her former fiancé and a Ukrainian boxer, paid a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

Klitschko shared his sorrow, emphasizing that, despite their split, Panettiere remained a significant figure in his life as the mother of their daughter, Kaya. He included a touching photo of Kaya sitting joyfully on her mother’s shoulders. Klitschko acknowledged Panettiere’s remarkable career and the challenges she faced within a demanding industry.

“To our daughter Kaya, I will always speak of her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was,” Klitschko pledged in his post, offering condolences to Panettiere’s family, friends, and fans.

Panettiere died at 36 on Sunday. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office reported that her cause of death is under further investigation. An autopsy revealed no trauma that contributed to her passing. Authorities responded to a 911 call regarding a reported cardiac arrest at an apartment complex made by an acquaintance, whose identity remains undisclosed. Police stated there are no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances.

Renowned for roles in “Heroes” and “Nashville,” Panettiere recently published her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning. The book addressed revelations about her past, including struggles with postpartum depression and addiction she faced which led to giving up custody of Kaya in 2018.

Panettiere shared her heartfelt yearning to be with her daughter during an emotional interview on the “Jay Shetty Podcast.” Although not living with Kaya, Panettiere maintained a strong bond through visits and FaceTime, and formed an effective co-parenting relationship with Klitschko. She expressed her enduring desire to be close to her daughter.

The couple became engaged in 2013 and welcomed Kaya in 2014. However, Panettiere’s personal challenges intensified post-birth, as detailed in her memoir. She reluctantly entered rehab and transferred custody of Kaya to Klitschko. Despite her hopes for eventual change, these challenges remained unresolved.
