Platner denied the accusations against him but left the race, allowing Democrats to nominate a new candidate before the deadline. Jackson’s campaign argues the report is a distraction tactic from Susan Collins’ camp.
Senator Jon Ossoff from Georgia did not directly address whether he’d back Jackson but redirected focus to Michigan’s race, supporting the overall Democratic effort.
Democrats, including Alsobrooks, emphasize targeting Republican agendas and dealing with current administration issues. They highlight a recent Fox News Poll showing voters’ opposition to U.S. military action against Iran.
In the effort to regain Congressional control, Alsobrooks advocates backing Democratic nominees in every state to address key issues like cost of living and healthcare.
