Director Ryan Coogler unveiled exciting news at Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con panel: David Jonsson will become the new Black Panther. Jonsson will portray Prince T’Challa II, the son of T’Challa, in ‘Black Panther 3,’ set to release on December 15, 2028. Coogler will return to direct the third movie in the celebrated series.

Jonsson expressed his gratitude to the Marvel family upon hearing the announcement. Chadwick Boseman originally played T’Challa in the first Black Panther film. Boseman’s passing due to colon cancer in 2020 deeply affected fans and the film community. Following his death, Letitia Wright assumed a significant role as T’Challa’s sister, Shuri, in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’
