Christian Organization’s Efforts in the West Bank

16 minutes ago 0

The Israel Guys, a Christian Zionist organization, opened a major visitor center in Har Bracha, West Bank. They have engaged over 5,000 volunteers from 35 countries in developing the Land of Israel for nearly 20 years.

CEO Joshua Waller emphasized the organization’s goal to bring international visitors to observe the flourishing of the biblical heartland. He criticized media portrayals of conflict in the area, stating they aim to show the reality on the ground.

We live here, we see the people who live here, and then we tell everyone what is actually happening.

Waller invited people to visit and see the situation regarding ‘settler violence’ firsthand, challenging its portrayal as a radical group.

The organization’s volunteer programs include the Heartland Experience, a 10-day tour combining volunteer work and local interactions. The Grape Harvest and Men’s Pruning trips focus on agriculture. Zion Ops serves young adults, and Day Visits offer brief tours of Har Bracha.

In 2004, Tommy Waller first visited Israel and created HaYovel with his family in 2007. They worked in agriculture, fulfilling biblical visions like those in Jeremiah 31:5. In 2013, the organization launched its first media project, later becoming The Israel Guys and increasing advocacy efforts.

The Israel Guys have developed over 120 farms. Volunteers contribute to farming and infrastructure. After the October 2023 Hamas attack, they raised $3.85 million in tactical support for the area.

Waller denied claims of Christians being unwelcome in Israel, stating it is the safest place for Christians in the Middle East. Volunteers come from diverse Christian backgrounds, including Catholics and Protestants.

The new center will support Israeli farmers with programs and communal activities. Waller urged aligning with biblical values for global peace while combating antisemitism.

He concluded that seeing biblical prophecies fulfilled through volunteer work is moving, highlighting Israel’s transformation into a fertile land.
