Chris Jericho made a notable return to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in April after speculation about his contract status. Since his return, Jericho has been involved in a feud with The Demand. He faced Ricochet at the Dynasty event, and this rivalry will lead to a Stadium Stampede Match at Double or Nothing on Sunday night. The match will feature Jericho, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Kenny Omega, Jack Perry, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson against Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona, Mark Davis, Andrade El Idolo, Clark Connors, and David Finlay.

Chris Jericho, a legend in professional wrestling, remains actively engaged in the sport, dedicating himself to entertaining fans. His extensive career includes time in WWE, World Championship Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and Ring of Honor (ROH).
AEW star MVP shared insights about Jericho’s place in professional wrestling history with Fox News Digital. MVP expressed his long-standing admiration for Jericho, noting his early awareness of him due to a passion for Japanese wrestling. According to MVP, Jericho’s debut at WWE marked a significant moment that he followed closely, watching all his matches.
“I’ve been a Chris Jericho fan for a long time because of my interest in international wrestling. His move from WCW to WWE was something I paid close attention to,” MVP stated during a discussion about his partnership with BZZR.
Jericho is praised for his diverse skills in wrestling. He excels in cutting promos and consistently delivers great matches. Importantly, he has avoided severe injuries throughout his career. His achievement as the undisputed champion solidifies his position among the sport’s greatest figures. “There’s no discussion about the all-time greats without mentioning Chris Jericho,” MVP asserted.
This upcoming event marks the third Stadium Stampede Match for Jericho. He participated in the inaugural match at Double or Nothing in 2020 alongside Matt Hardy, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz against Omega, “Hangman” Adam Page, and The Young Bucks. In the second match in 2021, he again teamed with Hager, Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz to face MJF, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler. Currently, Jericho holds a 1-1 record in these matches.
Double or Nothing will take place at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. The pre-show starts at 7 p.m. ET, with the main card beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
