Moore and Williams never seemed to connect on the field, making the trade a strategic move. The team also aimed to improve their defense, which had been weak despite generating turnovers. The departure of center Drew Dalman, who retired at 27, prompted them to draft a replacement and sign a new free agent to strengthen their lineup.

Roster Evaluation

There are concerns about the team’s current state. The defense heavily relied on turnovers to stay competitive. While the offense made the most of opportunities, players like Luther Burden and Kalif Raymond are not seen as major threats. Experts have reservations about betting on the Bears to win 10 games this season. Competitors like the Lions, Packers, and even the Vikings might have stronger performances. The Bears now face a tougher schedule due to last year’s postseason participation. Easy victories may be scarce. While there is potential for growth, current offseason actions and roster composition suggest a challenging year ahead. However, betting on two victories in the first five games at +300 could be worth a consideration.
