As the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence approaches, cultural institutions are gearing up with exhibits and events. This activity began in spring with American-themed exhibitions at Glenstone and the National Gallery of Art. Revolutionary War activities at Mount Vernon also launch during this period and continue through 2026.

The time between Memorial Day and July 4 witnesses heightened engagement with festivities designed to inspire national pride. Activities range from parades featuring tall ships to block parties downtown. Visitors can enjoy a unique collection of America’s iconic treasures assembled under one roof, making this a prime moment to honor the American Experiment.
