Camp Saginaw Alumni Cherish Long-Lasting Bonds

2 weeks ago 0

For many years, a group of 20 Camp Saginaw alumni has been gathering to share stories and reminisce about their camp days. These meetings serve as a testament to the enduring friendships formed during their time as campers.

Among these alumni are Brian Redman and Rick Elion, who were bunkmates during the summer of 1966. Their shared experiences have kept them in touch over the decades.

As young campers, their perception of time was fluid, shaped by events like Color War, campfires, and morning reveille. Moments that shaped their lives, such as winning in athletic competitions or experiencing a first kiss, seemed endless, even though the eight-week camp sessions passed quickly in a blur of warmth and activity.
