Caitlin Clark’s Impactful Season with the Indiana Fever

Caitlin Clark has captured attention off the court, but her on-court achievements deserve equal spotlight. Her dominance in the WNBA cannot be overlooked. Recently, Clark was announced as an All-Star starter for the third consecutive year. She also claimed the title of WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for June. This marks the second time she has earned this honor, with the first being in August 2024 when she also nabbed Rookie of the Month.

Clark’s prowess places her alongside Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings. Both are the only Indiana Fever players in history to win this accolade, with Catchings achieving it three times. The 2026 WNBA All-Star Game will feature Clark among three Fever players in the starting lineup.

During June, Clark exhibited outstanding performance. She averaged 21.9 points, 8.2 assists, and 4.0 rebounds over ten games. Her shooting accuracy stood at 45.6% from the field and 35.1% from three-point range. She secured the fourth position in the league for scoring and was second in assists, driving Indiana to a 7-4 record. The team led the league by scoring 95.5 points per game.

One memorable performance was on June 11 against Chicago, where she scored 32 points and made 10 assists. In that game, Clark and her teammate Aliyah Boston went down in history as the first WNBA duo to record 30-point double-doubles in the same match.

On June 16, in the win against Toronto, Clark added 21 points and set her season-high of 14 assists. From June 11 to June 22, she established a new WNBA record with at least 20 points and five assists in six consecutive games. This streak was only interrupted by a back injury on June 24 during the game against Phoenix, where she still managed 19 points and eight assists before exiting.

Clark will soon break more records as she heads into July. She is just nine assists away from reaching 600 career assists and only needs five more three-pointers to become the fastest player in league history to make 200 threes. Her contributions to the Indiana Fever remain significant, drawing large crowds, as seen in their June 16 victory over the Toronto Tempo.
