Brooks Nader Prepares for ‘Baywatch’ Reboot, Gains Support from Family

1 month ago 0

Brooks Nader is set to star in the ‘Baywatch’ reboot, a role surprisingly supported by her conservative parents. The Sports Illustrated model and actress explained that her family’s ban on bikinis growing up aligns with the one-piece red swimsuit famously used in ‘Baywatch’.

At the 2026 FOX Upfront in New York City, Nader discussed her involvement in the highly anticipated reboot of ‘Baywatch’. She explained the unexpected approval from her family, “They’re excited about ‘Baywatch’ because it’s a one-piece swimsuit — we weren’t allowed to wear two-piece bikinis growing up. So, they feel I’m following the family rules.”

Nader plays Selene, a captain of the Zuma Beach Lifeguards, in this modern revival. She appeared on the red carpet in a striking red minidress, highlighting her excitement and readiness for the show.

Slipping into the iconic swimsuit, Nader said, feels like an unreal experience. “I cry every time I put the red suit on,” she confessed, feeling the magnitude of the role. Her siblings even express envy when she dons the iconic outfit.

Nader admitted the pressure of living up to expectations from the original series, particularly following Pamela Anderson’s footsteps.

The original ‘Baywatch’ aired from 1989 to 1999, featuring stars like David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson. Nader acknowledges the challenge of stepping into ‘big shoes’, especially those of Anderson, who has been an inspiration for her for many years. The tribute to the ‘Baywatch’ muses is a significant part of the new series.

Alongside Nader, influencers like Noah Beck and Livvy Dunne will participate in the reboot, which is expected to present this beloved beach drama to a new generation.

Nader is thrilled about the project and feels the anticipation building for the January 2027 premiere. There’s a buzzing excitement, not only about honoring the original series but also about introducing new faces and storylines.

FOX’s ‘Baywatch’ seeks to blend nostalgia with modern updates, capturing the attention of both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Nader finds it surreal to have the same iconic red swimsuit as part of her work attire, signifying her role in continuing the ‘Baywatch’ legacy.
