Alabama Faces Tennessee Without Key Player

6 minutes ago 0

The Alabama Crimson Tide aims for recovery after a tight loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in Week 6, as they prepare to meet the Tennessee Volunteers. However, Alabama will not be at full strength in Saturday’s game.

Junior wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams has been a standout performer this season for Alabama. Before the defeat against Georgia, Coleman-Williams had scored in three consecutive games. During the Week 6 clash, Coleman-Williams had to leave the field after worsening a knee injury and sustaining a concussion, marking the end of his participation in the game.

As Week 7 approached, hope dwindled for Coleman-Williams to play. This was confirmed on Wednesday with Alabama’s injury update and a report from Pete Nakos of On3 Sports.

Coleman-Williams leads the team in key areas such as receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns, sharing the reception lead with Lotzeir Brooks. His absence will likely impact Alabama’s performance.

Complicating matters, the Tennessee Volunteers have only allowed 161.3 passing yards per game, the second-lowest in the SEC. Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell could face challenges in Saturday’s game. The Alabama-Tennessee matchup will start at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
