Milwaukee Brewers Dominate Dodgers, Approach Series Sweep

1 hour ago 0

The Milwaukee Brewers secured a decisive 6-2 victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3, bringing them closer to sweeping the series. Playing at Dodger Stadium, Milwaukee now stands one win away from reversing last year’s National League Championship Series outcome.

Jackson Chourio set the tone early by hitting a homer on Blake Snell’s first pitch. Robert Gasser effectively maintained the lead by pitching five scoreless innings.

Despite the Dodgers briefly taking the lead in the sixth with Will Smith’s two-run double, Milwaukee responded swiftly. In the seventh inning, Andrew Vaughn earned a walk, followed by Jake Bauers hitting a two-run homer in an 11-pitch face-off. Garrett Mitchell then extended the lead with another homer, ending Snell’s time on the mound.

The Brewers continued to dominate with a wild pitch in the eighth inning and an RBI single by Joey Ortiz in the ninth. Meanwhile, DL Hall and Trevor Megill provided 3.2 innings of flawless relief pitching.

“You just gotta win tomorrow,” said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. “We’ve just got to get a win and find a way to build some momentum.”

For the Dodgers, the series has been a test of endurance reminiscent of the 2004 NBA Finals. Fans have speculated online about the team’s apparent lack of resilience. The once-dominant Dodgers are now struggling to keep their World Series hopes alive.

Brewers’ player Jake Bauers reflected on the team’s mindset, contrasting last year with the current determination to win. The Dodgers, a team built for victory, find themselves in a precarious position with the prospect of elimination looming in Game 4.
