Adam Schefter Returns to NFL Network’s ‘The Insiders’

ESPN insider Adam Schefter will make a notable return to NFL Network’s ‘The Insiders’ weekly this fall. Schefter initially gained recognition as an NFL insider while working at NFL Network from 2004 to 2009 before his move to ESPN. His upcoming appearance on ‘The Insiders’ marks his first on the network in 17 years.

In a significant business move earlier this year, ESPN acquired NFL Network, as part of an agreement granting the NFL a 10% equity stake in ESPN. ‘The Insiders,’ NFL Network’s primary evening show, was traditionally co-hosted by Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero, and Mike Garafolo. Recently, Pelissero left the company to join The Ringer and Netflix.

Schefter is expected to co-host ‘The Insiders’ on Wednesdays throughout the NFL season. His role aligns with ESPN’s strategy of featuring talent from both ESPN and NFL Network across their platforms. ESPN NFL reporters Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano are also anticipated to make appearances on the show this fall.

Additionally, NFL Network figures like Rapoport, Stacey Dales, Cynthia Frelund, Steve Smith, Kyle Brandt, and Gerald McCoy will appear on ESPN programs. Molly McGrath and Mina Kimes will also participate in NFL Network shows, including the Sunday pregame coverage.

Recently, Schefter signed a multi-year contract extension with ESPN, while Ian Rapoport secured a long-term deal with the network. Both will play featured roles in network programming leading up to ESPN’s debut Super Bowl broadcast in February, appearing on shows such as ‘Get Up,’ ‘SportsCenter,’ and the ‘Pat McAfee Show.’
