A Decade of Impact at the National Museum of African American History and Culture

On the 10th anniversary of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, an exhibition called “Revelation” sheds light on artists who have tackled critiques of power. The exhibition features works by 38 diverse painters, photographers, and sculptors.

Established in 2016, the museum brought a new dimension to the National Mall. It offers exhibits that explore Black roots in America, tracing history from before the nation’s founding to today. In the past decade, the museum has become a cornerstone of the Smithsonian Institution.
