Chicago police are investigating a death following the discovery of a man’s body in a garbage container in the Austin neighborhood. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities reported finding the unidentified male in the container shortly after 1:30 p.m. on the 4700 block of West Arthington Street. Officers declared the man dead at the location.
An autopsy was planned for Sunday to determine the cause of death. As of the latest reports, police did not provide details about the body’s condition or any potential trauma. Harrison Area detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
