3 weeks ago 0

The Indianapolis 500 stands out as a unique race. It is the most significant race of the series and requires extensive preparation for an entire month, taking place in the middle of the season. Winning this race fulfills a lifelong dream and sets the stage for a hectic week ahead.

After securing victory at the NTT IndyCar Series 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 24, 2026, Felix Rosenqvist faced an intense schedule. The Detroit Grand Prix awaited, but his commitments had already begun immediately after his win. Media obligations took several hours right after the race.

The next day was packed with more interviews, a photo session, and an evening Victory Celebration. Rosenqvist’s week continued with a trip to New York for additional interviews and visits to landmarks such as the Empire State Building and Times Square. He also attended the red-carpet premiere of the movie “Pressure,” starring Indy 500 Grand Marshal Brendan Fraser.

Back in Indianapolis, Rosenqvist maintained a busy itinerary, including throwing the first pitch at a Tigers game before the Detroit Grand Prix weekend. Despite his exhaustive schedule, he approached it with enthusiasm. Having recently become a father added another dimension to his busy life.

Rosenqvist reflected on the experience, acknowledging his fatigue but emphasizing the importance of capitalizing on the opportunity. Representing motorsports on such a scale was rewarding, offering great exposure for the sport.

The thrill of the Indianapolis 500, marked by the closest finish in the event’s history, has fueled Rosenqvist’s momentum. He aims to continue this success at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, though he starts from P16, with championship leader Alex Palou starting on pole and Will Power beside him in P2.
