Harry Potter Star Jessie Cave Shares Impact of Joining OnlyFans

Jessie Cave, best known for her role as Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter series, has discussed how joining OnlyFans significantly improved her family’s financial situation. The 39-year-old actress revealed in an interview with The Times that her earnings from the platform have surpassed her entire acting career’s income within a year.

Cave initially joined OnlyFans with modest expectations, hoping to earn around five thousand pounds to support her family temporarily. However, her venture into OnlyFans lasted over eighteen months and provided substantial financial relief. She charges subscribers six pounds a month for non-explicit ‘hair content,’ which includes videos of her styling her hair in various costumes and fashions.

Her decision to transition to OnlyFans came after facing financial pressure and career setbacks. Cave’s acting career slowed down following her role in the last three Harry Potter films, and she was driven by financial necessity to support her family, including four children shared with her fiancé, Alfie Brown.

Cave stated, “I couldn’t go and, say, work in a supermarket because I can’t afford the childcare, and also I don’t want people shouting Harry Potter spells at me as I work at Tesco.” Her career change followed a breakdown and a realization that continuing in acting was not viable.

“I had a breakdown and I thought, ‘That’s it with acting, I give up.’ But also we have no money.”

OnlyFans, primarily known for adult content, offers diverse content, including cooking, tarot readings, and fitness training, all with a distinctive style. Cave mentioned that while her content focuses on her hair, the platform provides creative freedom and an audience varied in interests.

The actress joined OnlyFans in March 2025 and stated it was a strategy to handle debt, with ambitions of improving her home and pursuing the possibility of self-empowerment.

“I’ll try for one year,” Cave wrote, sharing intentions to prioritize personal development and challenge perceptions about her persona.
