The White House has made public a three-page report from President Trump’s physician detailing the results of his recent physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This report, dated from earlier this week, outlines various aspects of the 79-year-old president’s health.
Dr. Sean P. Barbabella, the president’s physician, presented an optimistic view of Mr. Trump’s overall health. The report indicates robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical functions. These findings align with previous reports emphasizing the president’s positive health status.
President Trump, the oldest person to assume the presidency, participated in a comprehensive series of physical and mental assessments. Among these was an echocardiogram, conducted due to past increases in cardiovascular testing following a chronic venous insufficiency diagnosis. This condition affects the veins’ ability to return blood to the heart.
The report also addresses Mr. Trump’s cholesterol management. The president manages his cholesterol levels with two medications: Crestor and Zetia. Additionally, he takes a substantial daily dose of aspirin to lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Despite recommendations from his doctors to reduce the dose, Mr. Trump continues with the higher amount.
At Walter Reed, the president underwent several neurological evaluations, including the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA). This 10-minute test screens for dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other cognitive conditions. As in previous years, Mr. Trump achieved a perfect score of 30 out of 30.
The report reveals a weight gain of 14 pounds since the last physical exam in April 2025, bringing the president’s weight to 238 pounds. This places him near the clinical obesity threshold. Although Mr. Trump has joked about obesity medications, referring to them as “the fat drug,” he has not taken them, admitting that perhaps he should.
