The campaign was intense, marked by a public dispute with President Donald Trump. Trump criticized Massie, calling him the “worst congressman in the Republican Party” during the campaign.
Massie shared the news of his FEC filing in a post on the social media platform X, shortly after noon Eastern time on Memorial Day. He stated, “I filed with FEC for the 2028 House race. This allows me to raise funds to continue my political operations supporting my position as a current office holder and as a potential candidate for federal office. I haven’t made a final decision about which office to seek, if I run.”
This move indicates that Massie is considering his future options carefully as he plans his next steps following his prominent electoral defeat.
