On Sunday night, Caitlin Clark showcased her efficiency as the Indiana Fever secured a win against the Seattle Storm. Clark posted 21 points, hitting 5-of-10 from the field, converting all nine free-throw attempts, and sinking two 3-pointers. This marked her first game since September 2024 where she had ten or fewer field-goal attempts. In that previous game against the Washington Mystics, she managed 2-of-5 field goals in 19 minutes of play.
During the second half at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark took on Seattle Storm guard Zia Cooke. Reflecting on her performance, Clark noted that minimizing shots didn’t hinder her team’s success. She helped with ten assists, a first since July 2025 against the Dallas Wings. That game preceded an injury that sidelined her for much of the 2025 season. According to The Athletic, Clark remarked, “No reason to press. Get my teammates involved. Take what the defense gives me. I thought I did well getting to the line, so there’s no need to shoot a lot. I mean, I played 23 minutes but reached the line nine times. I aim to improve on reaching the line and securing free points.”
Indiana triumphed with an 89-78 victory. While Clark led with points, teammates Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham contributed significantly. Mitchell added 17 points over 28 minutes, whereas Cunningham came off the bench to score 17 points and grab three rebounds. The team played without Aliyah Boston, who was absent due to a lower-leg injury.
Indiana Fever’s upcoming challenge is against the Portland Fire, scheduled for Tuesday night at home.
