Unrevealed Congressional Report on Havana Syndrome Raises Concerns

2 hours ago 0

Two years ago, I reached out to Congress and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence to brief them on evidence about alleged Russian pulsed microwave attacks. These incidents, reportedly causing Havana Syndrome, have harmed many U.S. government workers, including my family and me. The State Department intensified retaliation against me after I supported House Intel Chairman Rick Crawford for allowing my testimony on the State Department and Intelligence Community’s coverup.

This testimony, alongside accounts from multiple officials about the coverup, led to a significant report from the committee. In past Congresses, such a report would have been released promptly, ensuring accountability. However, Crawford is withholding this report, betraying the victims.

The committee claims the CIA is delaying the declassification process. The report could expose failures by senior CIA leadership. It’s disappointing Congress permits these tactics, deferring to the wrongdoers it investigates.

Additionally, it appears the committee takes direction from the White House, which might prefer the report remains undisclosed due to potential ties to Russia. While I am not alone in believing the evidence exists, there is reluctance to reveal it.

Accountability demands releasing the report. Instead of aligning with the executive branch’s treatment of President Vladimir Putin, the committee should exercise independence. This information’s suppression impacts all U.S. citizens. Without public accountability, Putin continues to engage with the U.S. government, ignoring Russia’s role in these attacks.
