Black Content Creator Removed from Ken Paxton’s Rally

A content creator who identifies as a strong supporter of President Donald Trump and the Republican Party faced an unexpected removal from a Ken Paxton rally. The incident was described as deeply disrespectful by the creator, who shared her experience on social media.

Using the TikTok handle @iamthelmalouise, where she has over 200,000 followers, she documented the event. In one of the videos, she is seen being escorted out of the venue. She expressed disbelief, stating, “I cannot believe this. Someone just came up to me and said that Ken Paxton’s campaign manager wanted me to leave. I was just asked to leave this event, and I did nothing wrong.”

Newsweek reached out to Paxton’s campaign via email, though it was outside regular business hours. This incident occurred as Ken Paxton, Texas’s attorney general, traveled across the state on his “Come and Take It” tour against Democrat James Talarico in a highly competitive Senate race.

In a second, more emotional video, she recounted the day’s events. She had driven two hours to attend the rally, only to be asked to leave. The incident stirred disbelief as she had left the Democratic Party two years prior and had since worked to support Republicans, including volunteering for Trump’s campaign.

“I’m not quite sure what’s going on, but to be walked out of a room full of people and isolated as if I had done something wrong, I cannot believe it. I can’t,” she said. “That you would do me like that, and if you have followed my page, you know how hard I have worked for this party since I joined… This, I will never forget. Never. This was beyond disrespectful.”

In another post, she displayed press credentials from previous Republican events, including the midterm GOP convention in Dallas. She reiterated her lack of understanding as to her removal. Though she acknowledged a potential mistake in identity, she did not blame the Republican Party, stating they have shown her love and acceptance. However, she held Paxton’s campaign manager entirely responsible for the disrespect she experienced.

This is a developing story with more details to follow as they become available.
