On Monday night, Disneyland security notified the Anaheim Police Department of two suspicious bags found near a roundabout outside the amusement park’s main entrance. One bag contained marbles and protruding wires, while the other had duct tape and sharp objects sticking out. A dolly supported one of the bags.
At approximately 9:50 p.m., police officers evacuated visitors, redirecting them to an alternative exit. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department bomb squad was called to assess the situation. By midnight, the bags were deemed harmless, containing no explosives, as confirmed by Sgt. Eric Anderson.
Authorities suspect that the bags were intentionally placed to appear threatening. Efforts are underway to identify those responsible for this incident.
