Authorities were informed about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance after she missed church on Sunday morning. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared that Nancy had last been seen having dinner at Annie Guthrie’s home and was driven back by Annie’s husband, Tommaso Cioni. A subsequent ransom note with specific details about Nancy and her home reportedly reached a local Arizona news station, although its authenticity has yet to be confirmed.
So far, no suspects have been identified in the case. A small amount of blood was discovered in and around Nancy’s home, which is currently under investigation. Sheriff Nanos stressed the primary objective is locating Nancy Guthrie before determining responsible parties.
