Deputies were engaged in a fatal hit-and-run investigation on Monday night in Northeast Miami-Dade. During the investigation, a vehicle approached them with a gunshot victim, as reported by the sheriff’s office.
The incident occurred around 11:42 p.m. The wounded man was shot at Zippy Coin Laundry located at 14701 NE Sixth Ave. He was found just over a mile from the site of the hit-and-run crash.
After encountering the victim, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported him to HCA Aventura Hospital. He was admitted in critical condition.
