In a vivid protest during an April meeting of the FIU board of trustees, students expressed their opposition. A group of students interrupted the proceedings by standing up collectively in the audience. They wore matching T-shirts beneath their sweatshirts, emblazoned with the message “ICE off FIU” in bold red letters.
