Shooting Incident at South Los Angeles Senior Assisted Living Facility

LAPD officers responded swiftly to a shooting at a senior assisted living facility in South Los Angeles. The incident occurred Monday morning in the lobby, involving a worker who opened fire on colleagues.

Police reported that the shooting took place near West 70th Street and Denver Avenue, shortly before 11 a.m. The gunman, identified as an employee of the facility, shot three staff members in the lobby before proceeding further into the building.

Officers arrived at the six-story location within two minutes, locating the three wounded individuals. They secured the shooter, a man in his 60s, on a different floor inside the building.

The victims included a woman in her 40s, a woman in her 60s, and a man in his 60s, all transported to a nearby hospital. One victim was critically injured, though specific details about their conditions were not disclosed.
