In a post on September 4, the account described their discontent, claiming the situation is worse than reported. The New York Times confirmed the account’s legitimacy, managed collectively by former Fetterman aides. The account hinted at releasing more details soon, emphasizing Fetterman’s possible absence from upcoming Senate votes.

The account quickly gained over 162,000 followers, following the Journal’s expose based on ex-staffers’ accounts. The report stated Fetterman was less interested in Senate duties than in cultivating media relationships and Israel advocacy. Fetterman labeled the profile as a “hit piece,” dismissing it as filled with falsehoods and misrepresentations. Newsweek has contacted his office for comments.

Fetterman, elected in 2022, faces calls for resignation due to concerns over his work ethic. The Journal cited routine absences at significant hearings and a focus on media engagements over constituent work.
