Investigation Continues into Hayden Panettiere’s Death

51 minutes ago 0

The sudden death of Hayden Panettiere has prompted an extensive investigation, with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) becoming involved. Brian Hickerson, Panettiere’s on-and-off boyfriend, spoke out following her unexpected passing. Hickerson’s attorney, Sloan Ellis, emphasized the importance of the ongoing investigation, noting police found no signs of foul play.

The Greenville Police Department is collaborating with the Coroner’s Office to review facts and evidence. Their statement mirrored that of Ellis, confirming no initial indications of foul play. Efforts are underway to determine if a criminal investigation is necessary.

Recently, Greenville police visited a residence linked to Hickerson and his brother, Zach, after Panettiere’s death. This visit appeared to be a welfare check, yet officers made no contact at the home.

The actress, known for roles in “Nashville” and “Remember the Titans,” passed away at 36. She was found in cardiac arrest at a Greenville apartment. Despite resuscitation efforts, she was declared dead. Preliminary autopsy reports show no evidence of trauma contributing to her demise.

A police report indicates Hickerson and his brother discovered Panettiere unresponsive, contacted emergency services, and provided medication she had been taking. The report describes Zach Hickerson as emotional while paramedics attempted to revive her.

Hickerson, originally from South Carolina, met Panettiere through friends shortly after her split with Wladimir Klitschko in 2018. Their relationship was tumultuous, characterized by legal issues involving domestic violence charges against Hickerson in 2019 and 2020. He was sentenced in 2021 after pleading no contest to related charges, with some dismissed under a plea agreement.

Hickerson recently sought to reduce these charges but was denied by the court. The investigation into Panettiere’s death remains active.
