Alaskans are set to complete their voting process on Tuesday, selecting candidates to succeed outgoing Governor Mike Dunleavy (R), who reached his term limit. Voters have a wide range of choices with over a dozen candidates in the running.
Leading the latest polls are former state Senate Minority Leader Tom Begich (D) and business owner Bernadette Wilson (R). Candidates also include Democrat Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins, a previous state legislator, and former Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson (R). Regardless of party, the top four contenders will progress to the general election.
Polling stations will close at 12 a.m. EDT Wednesday. Election results will be updated live by Decision Desk HQ.
