Total Solar Eclipse Occurs Across Europe and Asia

2 hours ago 0

A total solar eclipse is occurring on Wednesday across parts of Europe and Asia. This marks the first time a total solar eclipse is visible on such a large scale since the Great American Eclipse on April 8, 2024.

The path of totality for this astronomical event is passing over Greenland, Iceland, and Spain, offering a unique viewing experience for those within the path. Such eclipses provide a rare opportunity to witness the moon completely covering the sun, turning day briefly into night.

Notably, Joaquin Tapioles, a retired shepherd and self-taught astronomer, was seen dismantling one of his telescopes near the farming village of San Agustin del Pozo, Spain, on July 22. People across the globe are using various methods to view this celestial phenomenon.
