Chelsea Green, the Interim WWE Women’s Champion, recently shared her injury status after a tag team match against Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid. She revealed a broken orbital bone, posting on social media to illustrate the extent of her injury.
In a tag team match, Green sustained the injury and later displayed a bruise under her eye. She expressed hope for a quick recovery in a post on her Instagram Stories. This injury incident occurred shortly after she claimed the interim title at a ladder match during SummerSlam.
Green shared her perspective in a video on Instagram, detailing the incident: “I did get injured last night. It’s live television and wrestling, an occupational hazard,” Green noted. She ended up in the emergency room with a broken orbital bone, adding, “It looks amazing all things considered. It feels awful but looks pretty amazing.”
Despite the injury, Green remains uncertain about her future. “I usually play into every injury, but this feels different,” she said. “I just need more time to process and heal from the head trauma.” She emphasized a day-by-day approach, stating, “World domination continues. It’s just a minor blip.”
The situation around the Interim WWE Women’s Championship is unclear. The title was established due to Rhea Ripley’s absence following knee surgery. Green’s current state adds more uncertainty to the title scene.
