Tyler Hubbard’s Musical Journey with ‘The Chosen’

Country singer Tyler Hubbard has shared insights into his latest musical project and how it holds a special place for him. In a recent conversation with Fox News Digital, the 39-year-old artist discussed his new album linked to the popular TV series ‘The Chosen’, which has made Bible stories more tangible for his children and sparked conversations about Jesus’ life.

“We discuss all these stories and their questions, and it remains with them,” Hubbard explained. “Two years later, they’ll recall a Bible story, teaching us and their friends.” He attributes this understanding to the quality and accuracy of the show’s production, calling the experience of connecting the show to the Bible “really special.”

Hubbard, well-known as part of the country duo Florida Georgia Line, noted that watching ‘The Chosen’ as a family tradition has exposed his children to the gospel and Jesus’ life. The opportunity to write a song for the show excites him, recalling a friend’s suggestion, “Hey, we might get to write a song for ‘The Chosen’, and they might use it.” He reflects on his early music experiences in church, expressing joy in creating a faith-centered song with depth and truth.

The song “All I Need Is You,” the first single from the new album, inspired by ‘The Chosen’, was released on August 7. It will feature on the soundtrack for the upcoming sixth season. The album, produced by 5&2 Studios and Capitol Christian Music Group, will debut in the fall.

Beyond his musical ventures, Hubbard recounted a recent mishap during a fishing trip. While casting his line, he hooked himself in the back of the head. Unable to remove it alone, his wife Hayley assisted him for about 30 minutes. Their son filmed the process, and they shared the video on Instagram, capturing family concern and children’s questions.

“We were in a remote area,” Hubbard mentioned, addressing why they didn’t seek immediate medical help. “I was determined to continue and not let it ruin the day, and Hayley did a great job.”

Instagram comments revealed many had similar experiences, with some followers sharing their own fishing mishaps. Hayley also posted a video from their camping trip, including moments like fishing and rafting, humorously promising, “next time we’ll try to avoid fish hooks in the head.”
