Tori Spelling’s Departure from ‘90210MG’ Podcast

Tori Spelling is pausing her busy life for a new chapter. At 53, she shared an outdoor photo, dressed in a black halter bikini top and oversized denim shorts, captioning it with a simple ‘Intermission.’

Spelling, famous for her role as Donna Martin on Beverly Hills, 90210, stepped away from a project linked to her role in the show. She recently confirmed her exit from ‘90210MG,’ a rewatch podcast she launched with Jennie Garth in 2020.

‘90210MG’ gave fans a nostalgic look back at the beloved series, sharing memories and behind-the-scenes stories from its ten-season run. The podcast is currently revisiting Season 8, but Spelling will not be with Garth for the final episodes.

During Brian Austin Green’s ‘Hump Day Live,’ Spelling discussed her departure. She agreed with Green’s suggestion that she needs time to gather her thoughts, highlighting the importance of thoughtfully communicating her reasons instead of reacting impulsively.

“I like the way you phrased that,” she said. “Yeah. You want to really take the time, really assess, really reflect and then be able to speak your truth in a thoughtful way instead of a reactive way.”

While she didn’t rule out returning to the podcast, Spelling encouraged fans to continue supporting her co-hosts, Garth and Amy Sugarman.

“Please, please, please keep watching,” Spelling urged. “Jennie and Amy [Sugarman] are doing it. They’re bringing on tons of fun hosts, so please keep watching it.”

Her enduring friendship with Green was also emphasized during their discussion. The two remain close friends after their on-screen roles as Donna and David in Beverly Hills, 90210. They’ve reconnected in recent years, as shown in a ‘Play date’ shared on Instagram.

Spelling shared an affectionate birthday tribute to Green, reflecting on their long-standing bond from their teenage years on the show. She thanked him for their continued friendship and the encouragement he provides.

Despite leaving ‘90210MG’ with two seasons left, the support from Garth and Sugarman remains strong. Garth expressed her disappointment but also supported Spelling’s decision, appreciating Spelling’s choice to prioritize herself.

Sugarman emphasized that the decision was entirely Spelling’s. They can be disappointed yet supportive of her future endeavors.
