President Donald Trump announced a tentative agreement for Hamas to disarm and for Israel to withdraw its forces from Gaza. President Trump is relocating Friday’s Cabinet meeting to the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland. On a different note, Carlos Cordeiro, a senior adviser to FIFA, resigned from his position on the White House Task Force for the World Cup. He protested against FIFA’s consideration of selling a stake in the World Cup to private equity. Cordeiro, who frequently interacted with Trump, condemned the $20 billion plan, labeling it detrimental to football.

In health policy, the Trump administration will conclude a temporary Medicare drug subsidy program initiated under the Biden administration. This program has helped mitigate costs for Medicare Part D beneficiaries. Its conclusion might lead to increased monthly expenses for many older Americans in 2027.
