Cam Jordan, a stalwart of the New Orleans Saints, is preparing to conclude his NFL journey after 16 seasons. Entering the 2026 season, Jordan plans to make it his final run in the league. He remains undecided about retirement but approaches the year with that expectation.
Jordan, who recorded 10½ sacks in the 2025 season, has re-signed with the Saints for a final season. His role on the field remains flexible, ready to contribute in any way for head coach Kellen Moore and defensive coordinator Brandon Staley. His new position, a two-point stance, proved effective last year, reinforcing his ability to adapt.
“Do I feel good? Absolutely. Do I feel better not being part of OTAs? Physically, yes,” Jordan remarked.
The Pro Bowl defensive end’s career has been marked by consistent success. Drafted 24th overall by the Saints in 2011 from Cal, Jordan has amassed 132 career sacks, ranking him 17th all-time. He strives to achieve eight double-digit sack seasons, aiming for a top 10 all-time ranking.
Beyond personal accolades, Jordan harbors a singular dream: winning a Super Bowl. He expressed the childhood ambition of achieving greatness, with a Super Bowl symbolizing ultimate success.
“The ultimate dream is to win a Super Bowl,” Jordan said. “It’s the ultimate team dream,” he added.
As the Saints gear up for a season with potential, Jordan remains driven. The 37-year-old defensive end hopes to finish on a high note, envisioning a Hall of Fame future.
Although his achievements suggest Hall of Fame inclusion, Jordan’s eyes are set on adding “Super Bowl champion” to his legacy.
