Lindsay Lohan is celebrating her 40th birthday with introspection and gratitude. On Instagram, she shared her thoughts on the milestones and lessons that have shaped her life, while anticipating the future.

Lohan expressed the meaningful transformations of the past decade. She highlighted personal changes by noting, “I’m 40 now but I once was…30, grounded, fulfilled, full circle.” The post included images of her husband Bader Shammas and son Luai. She shared, “I got married, became a mother and understood a deeper kind of love, one that reshaped what truly matters.”

Lohan also reflected on her professional journey. She mentioned her role reprisal as Anna Coleman in 2025’s “Freakier Friday,” describing the experience as “a full-circle moment, a reminder of where I began and how much I’ve grown.” She emphasized, “I’m no longer searching for who I am, I’m living it. Choosing family, choosing purpose, and creating a life that feels as good as it looks.”

The actress looked back at her 20s as a period of rapid change. “Everything moved fast, often faster than I could process,” she said. Revisiting her iconic roles, Lohan mentioned, “‘Mean Girls’ became a voice for a generation, ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded’ carried me into something bigger, brighter, louder.” She acknowledged the challenges beneath her success, saying, “I was learning through experience, through pressure, through mistakes, trying to hold onto who I was while the world decided who I should be.”

In her teenage years, Lohan was already immersed in the industry. “I was discovering, performing, dreaming bigger,” she recalled. Starting in showbiz at 18 months old, she spent days on sets with scripts, balancing innocence and instinct, knowing change was near with films like ‘The Parent Trap.’

Looking ahead, Lohan shared her aspirations, stating her intent to create stories that connect with audiences. She’s starring in the upcoming Hulu series “Count My Lies” with Shailene Woodley and Kit Harington. She noted, “There’s still so much I want to create. Exciting stories, ones that connect with people and also make them laugh, stories that feel honest and moments that stay with people long after the screen fades.”
