A 40-year-old man was taken into custody after allegedly stabbing a woman during an argument in Englewood, a Chicago neighborhood. According to police reports, the incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. when both individuals were in a residence located in the 7200 block of South Hoyne Avenue.
The altercation began as a verbal dispute but escalated. The man reportedly used a sharp object to stab the 45-year-old woman in both the neck and the abdomen. Afterward, he fled the scene but was swiftly apprehended by law enforcement officers.
The victim was transported to UChicago Medicine where medical personnel have listed her in good condition. Currently, charges are pending as detectives continue their investigation into the matter.
