Rod Stewart Postpones Concerts Due to Vocal Issues

1 week ago 0

Rod Stewart has announced the rescheduling of upcoming concerts based on his doctor’s advice. Medical professionals have recommended that Stewart rest his voice to address ongoing vocal concerns.

The concerts originally planned for June 15 and 16 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, have been postponed to September 2 and 3, 2027. The venue communicated this update through their social media channels.

“Following examinations at Colorado Voice Clinic this afternoon, Dr. David Opperman has prescribed vocal rest for Rod Stewart,” stated the announcement. “Evaluation revealed significant inflammation and strain of the vocal folds, making it impossible for him to safely perform without the risk of further injury and potential long-term damage to his voice.”

Stewart expressed his regret over the delay, apologizing to fans for the inconvenience and stating his eagerness to return once he receives medical clearance.

While Stewart’s medical condition is understandable, the timing of the announcement has led to mixed reactions. Some fans voiced concerns about being informed only an hour before the show, a situation that affected bartenders and staff who had already been prepared for the event.

Rod Stewart recently faced similar circumstances. On April 12, he canceled a performance in San Diego due to an acute upper respiratory infection leading to laryngitis.

Looking ahead, Stewart’s next concert is slotted for June 19 in West Valley City, Utah. Fans with tickets should stay alert for any updates on the schedule as Stewart focuses on recovering to perform.
