Spencer Pratt Concedes L.A. Mayor Race, Targets Opponents

Spencer Pratt, known for his stint on reality television, conceded in a video on Friday that his campaign for Los Angeles mayor is ending. Pratt expressed that his primary goal was to shed light on what he describes as a ‘corrupt machine,’ and that effort continues.

Pratt, a Republican, came in third in the primary election with about 25% of the vote. This result means that Mayor Karen Bass and Councilwoman Nithya Raman, both Democrats, will proceed to a runoff election in November, as confirmed by The Associated Press.

Former President Trump weighed in, claiming without evidence that Pratt’s loss illustrated election fraud. Trump noted the discrepancy between Pratt’s initial second-place standing on election night and his eventual slip to third. Such fluctuations in results are common in California due to the extended ballot counting process and a high volume of mail-in votes.

Despite Trump’s assertions, Pratt did not indicate he would contest the election outcome. Instead, he focused on criticizing Bass and Raman, referring to them as ‘dumb and dumber.’ His video, lasting just over three minutes, featured sharp verbal barbs, intense visual content, and a jarring audio background.

I didn’t get in this for political power, I got in this to expose this corrupt machine, and nothing’s changed. I don’t have campaign laws hamstringing me now. It’s war.
