3 weeks ago 0

In a recent interview, Robert De Niro shared insights about his friendship with Ariana Grande, his co-star in the comedy ‘Focker-In-Law.’ Curiously, De Niro admitted he has yet to see her performance in the film ‘Wicked,’ which appears to be a popular movie globally. He expressed a desire to watch it, saying, “I didn’t see her movie, and I still am trying to see it, believe it or not, but I want to see it. I’m going to see it with my daughter. And she’s, of course, seen it.”

Despite not having seen ‘Wicked,’ De Niro is familiar with Grande’s work. He mentioned watching her on a sitcom, as he said, “I had seen her in some stuff with my daughter, some sitcom thing she had done.” Although he couldn’t recall the show’s name, his exposure to her work was through his daughter’s interest.

De Niro praised Grande’s acting in ‘Focker-In-Law,’ which is set to hit theaters on November 25. In the film, Grande portrays Olivia, the girlfriend of Henry Focker. Commenting on her performance, he noted, “She was very professional. She’s terrific and very quick and got it all. She was very much part of the whole process. I liked her. Nice kid.”

This acknowledgment of Grande’s acting skills by a revered actor like De Niro is significant. While Grande’s reputation is largely based on her singing career, her role in ‘Focker-In-Law’ showcases her versatility in acting as well.
