Widespread Recall of Prepared Foods Containing Jalapeños Amid Salmonella Concerns

Taylor Farms has initiated a recall for various prepared foods that include jalapeños. This recall encompasses products such as dips, salsa, and guacamole. The action follows a multistate salmonella outbreak associated with peppers cultivated in Mexico, which is spreading across the U.S. food supply.

Previously, the company had also recalled iceberg lettuce due to its connection with the largest cyclospora outbreak recorded in the United States.

The recall and outbreak highlight ongoing challenges in maintaining food safety amid global supply chains. Consumers are advised to check for recalled products and adhere to any guidelines provided by health authorities to avoid risks of illness.
