Before the game, the team announced a tribute to Parton: an orange butterfly decal on each player’s helmet showcasing her name. Head coach Josh Heupel shared that this decal will remain throughout the season. Additionally, the Vols shifted their traditional fourth-quarter song to Parton’s “My Tennessee Mountain Home,” replacing Morgan Wallen’s “The Way I Talk.” This change signifies the deep respect for Parton and might evolve into a regular tradition, showcasing her profound impact on Tennessee.
