Taylor Swift has found her fairy tale ending. She married NFL star Travis Kelce on July 3 at Madison Square Garden. The pair hosted approximately 1,000 attendees, having rented the venue for several days. Swift’s romance with Kelce started in the summer of 2023.

Swift Responds to Speculation

In August 2025, Swift and Kelce went public with their engagement. Representatives confirmed to People magazine that the wedding ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler, a friend of both Swift and Kelce. Sandler’s connection with Kelce began when the latter appeared in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ and subsequently on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, ‘New Heights.’

Sandler spoke highly of Kelce, noting, “He was so cool, he was just like you when you took over with announcing.” The wedding did not feature traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Austin Swift, Swift’s brother, served as her ‘Man of Honor,’ while Jason Kelce was Travis’s ‘Best Man.’

The couple’s attire for the event was made by Christian Dior Haute Couture. Designer Jonathan Anderson collaborated closely with the bride and groom. Swift wore custom Cartier jewelry, and both wore shoes crafted by Christian Louboutin.

Swift is known for being private about her relationships. While she was first seen at a Chiefs game on September 24, 2023, she disclosed to Time magazine that their relationship began well before then. “This started when Travis put me on blast on his podcast,” she recalled. They had been dating for a while by the time of her initial appearance at the game, allowing them time to know each other away from public scrutiny.

A Unique Start

In July 2023, Travis Kelce mentioned on his ‘New Heights’ podcast that he missed an opportunity to personally give Swift a friendship bracelet during The Eras Tour stop in Kansas City. Swift appeared on his podcast in August 2025, playfully noting, “This dude didn’t even reach out to our management.” Kelce shared that being at her concert, he realized how to win her over through her songs.

Thirteen days after the podcast episode featuring Swift aired, they announced their engagement on Instagram, with Sweet sharing images of Kelce proposing. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift cheekily wrote.
